it comes around sometimes to often, but this year I got a shortened version. I went up Friday morning and came home Friday night. So little mini camp. (: in all honesty I went up there with a terrible attitude. I didn't wanna be there, I was onry and I felt a little out of place. But hold tight- this isn't a debby downer story. It gets better (: when we got up there, they obviously knew exactly what I wanted to do. Certification for 5 hours. Chhhayhoo. So I got to work with some grand little 1st years tying knots, & learning CPR. Whoot. Hahah it's okay you can be jealous. After that I headed back to my 15th ward camp and caught up with my girls, college takes all my time right out of my hands* we did a few crafts and had some lunch. I still wasn't that amused. then. Everything began. The spiritual end of things hit. We went to 4th year graduation and then we had a fire side that was really good. A lot of good music and act. In the fireside they told a story of a young Indian boy who was determine to climb this mountain to enter into man hood but he was to stubborn and prideful to ask for help from his father and so he proceeded on his own. In his journey he came close with death and while praying on the mountain he found a note from his father that told him if only he would have asked he would have told him the secret that there are steps in the south end of the mountain. Lesson of the story- when we ask for council from our elders and our Heavenly Father our journey becomes light. We had out faces painted, it resembled an arrow to remind us to keep our eyes fixed on heaven. It was really good. Then testimony meeting went really smooth. Smooth if your talking about the tears streaming down my cheeks. It was emotional but good. A good cry does the soul alot of good(: it felt good to bear my testimony again, it had been a while. I can honestly say at the end of the day I enjoyed girls camp! Here are a few fun pictures-
